With the return to hybrid instruction, off-season lifting will begin tomorrow directly after school until 4:15PM (please pick up promptly!)

Lifting schedule will be as follows

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday (Starting Tuesday this week, then Monday’s thereafter)
2:45 – 4:15

Being a critically important facet of player and team development, if your player is not involved in a Gateway sponsored winter sport, they are expected to attend! Please have your player reach out to Coach Holl if they have any issues with rides etc.

Dear Football Parents,

The Gateway Football Boosters is currently looking to fill several vacant positions within our booster board. The board is responsible for organizing and directing various activities that support our players throughout their experience as a member of the team. Our activities include general fundraising, providing pregame meals, providing clothing and gear, organizing senior day activities and the year end banquet, as well as supporting other experiences and activities that are not otherwise funded by the school district.

It is important to recruit and retain board volunteers to continue a successful booster program. For the 2021 school year, we have two board members returning, Justin Engleka and Kalana Hellar. It is also particularly important that we recruit board members that have players in the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes. This will help us assure that we are able to have representation from the younger classes and will also create a successful transition from year-to-year.

Depending on the response to this request, we will have several positions open for recruitment. Those positions are:
Vice President
*Treasurer (this is a high need position)
Secretary
Board members at large ( general assistants)

We are also recruiting for non-board committee members and parents/family members to assist with general board operations. We are seeking volunteers that are willing to assist with senior day, picture day, pregame meals, concessions, player volunteer activities, social media/web design and fundraising activities. All help is greatly appreciated. You do not need to be a board member in order to provide assistance to our organization.

On a personal note, I have had an amazing experience as a board member and have enjoyed working with a great group of parents. Our goal is to onboard and create an easy transition for our new board members.

Hello All!

Some outstanding items for the End of the Season and Year End information

Unfortunately, due to COVID and it’s many challenges we have underachieved our fundraising needs for this year. So, we are running low on funds for the usual end of the year activities. With limited group fundraising opportunities, limited 50/50 and no concessions, as well as extremely poor participation in patronizing the multiple additional restaurant and food sponsors that were willing to contribute to our team, we are stuck with the difficult decisions on cutting items that traditionally the boosters would fund. Some of which are helping pay for letterman jackets, senior scholarships, and scholar athlete awards.

We are still planning a banquet for the team, to honor the season, the seniors and acknowledge all of the players for their hard work and perseverance through an uncertain and abnormal season. Regrettably , with limitations in place and wanting to keep the tradition of the it being a family event, we are pushing it out until early to mid-spring. No specific arrangements have been made yet.

We have 4 extra travel suit jackets for sale. The Nike Dri-fit jackets retail for $90+, can be purchased for $70. (sizes: 2-each X, XL)
We also have two of the jackets that were given as banquet gifts last year, one has embordered name that could be removed, and one is plain. Anyone interested in purchasing those, please let me know as well. (Rita 412-913-0267)

We still have quite a few Gold Cards left. We are now selling them at 1/2 price. If anyone would like to purchase them as stocking stuffers, or know anyone that would be interested, it would help tremendously. The coupons are good until end of August 2021, still a TON of time to use!!

Lastly, there are still 12 helmets that have not been returned!!! Two – Three of the brand new! The value around $4000. If your player has a helmet please have them returned ASAP! If your player did not turn their helmet into a coach, or their helmet is not accounted for, the school can invoice you for their helmet. Please contact Coach Holl if you have any information about a missing helmet!

The final locker clean out is tomorrow Tuesday November 17th after school until 4PM for anyone who did not make it today.
All the players were notified via huddle that they were to report today for locker clean out!

Also we are still missing helmets! if your player has a helmet please make sure they return them tomorrow as well!

Coach Holl will be notifying players and parents of helmets are not returned ASAP!!
