As an organization, we have a great concern that not enough underclassman parents have stepped up to become involved with this year’s board. It is necessary for these underclassman parents to position themselves to take over next year.Due to lack of participation, it may be necessary to dissolve the Booster Association after the completion of this season. To some, that may sound like good news but in reality, the boys next year and beyond will suffer. As a quick overview, here are a few things that will be missing from next year should this association dissolve:
· No money available to football team for trips such as Harrisburg.
· No upper concession stand
· No game day programs
· No media (picture) day
· No letterman jackets provided free of cost to the players
· No scholarships to graduating seniors
· No football banquet at year’s end
· No Senior night banquet
· No post season gifts
· No post game meals
This is just an overview of what this association provides to the team each and every year. It would be a shame to take this away from them next year and beyond but this is becoming a very real possibility.
